Access
About 30 minutes from the Muikamachi Interchange on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, Sen is located in the Kawanishi district of Tokamachi City, the home of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial.
Sen is about a 30-minute drive from Satoyama Jujo. There is no pick-up and drop-off service between Sen and Satoyama Jujo. Thank you for your understanding.

Sen is in the Kawanishi district of Tokamachi City, one mountain over from Minamiuonuma City where Satoyama Jujo is located. Sen, which means one thousand in Japanese, is named after the nearby Senju Kannon-do, a temple built in 801 to house a thousand-armed Goddess of Mercy statue. Take the narrow road that links Prefectural Road 49 with Iseheiji. The surrounding area is a small village with several other private residences. Please drive safely and refrain from disturbing the neighbors with noise. A flat-rate taxi is available from Tokamachi Station.
