Multiple dinner plans are available, including on-site cooking by a local chef, a BBQ hosted by local residents, and Satoyama Jujo’s special recipe hot pot. We also recommend visiting local Michelin-starred restaurants.

You can also have a local chef come to Sen to prepare dinner.
The basic plan features a BBQ hosted by a group of local mothers or Satoyama Jujo’s special recipe hot pot, but we also offer a catering service where a chef from Yuge, a Japanese restaurant in Tokamachi, comes to Sen to prepare a special course. There are also many restaurants nearby that are listed in the Michelin Guide for Niigata, so Sen makes a great base of operations for visiting these restaurants. A healthy self-service breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients is available in the morning. You are also welcome to stay overnight without a meal plan.
* A group of local mothers will visit Sen to prepare ingredients and dishes for dinner. Please help yourself.
* There is no pick-up and drop-off service for guests who which to dine at Sanaburi, the restaurant at Satoyama Jujo. If you would like have dinner at Satoyama Jujo, please reserve Izumi.
* If you plan to bring your own ingredients and barbecue on the terrace, there is a separate BBQ terrace usage fee.

Cook with local ingredients in the open-plan kitchen equipped with an IH cooktop.
Sen also has an open-plan kitchen equipped with an IH cooktop. A refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and basic cooking utensils are provided so that you can cook your own meals during your stay. Jirobata, a farmer’s market run by JA, is located nearby and offers a wide variety of fresh vegetables and prepared foods. If you prefer, you can buy some local ingredients there and cook your own dinner in the kitchen.
