Atema welcomes up to six guests in two bedrooms, each with its own washbasin and bath or shower room. The layout gives two families room to share the house while keeping their own space. A bench built into the staircase is a quiet place to sit and look out over the countryside.
Thoughtful bedding, towels, loungewear and toiletries bring the care of Satoyama Jujo to your private village home. Generous insulation keeps the rooms warm through the snowy winter, and our concierge can assist in English and Japanese throughout your stay.
The main bedroom has a bathtub; the second bedroom has a shower. These use regular water rather than natural hot-spring water.
There is no onsen or sauna. Both bedrooms have their own toilet and shower. There is no separate living room: everyone gathers in the dining room. One bedroom also has an attic space that can feel like a little hideaway for children.

Hotel Comforts & Amenities
Prepared with the same care as at Satoyama Jujo: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, makeup remover, toner, moisturiser, toothbrushes, cotton pads and cotton buds, hand and bath towels, loungewear, bathrobes, ponchos and slippers.
To reduce disposable plastic, hairbrushes, hair ties and razors are not supplied. Please bring your own.
Housekeeping and towel changes are provided during multi-night stays. Cots, cribs and dedicated bedding for babies or infants are not provided. Please discuss your family’s sleeping arrangements with us before booking.
Our front desk is available from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Japan time. Our concierge can help in English and Japanese. The houses do not have a staffed reception on site; arrival instructions are provided in advance. -
