13 km—about 18 minutes—from Echigo-Yuzawa Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen.
After exiting at the Shiozawa-Ishiuchi Interchange, turn left and proceed along Prefectural Route 28. After driving about eight minutes, turn right at the Okiroku intersection and take an immediate left toward Kiroku Shrine. The surrounding area is a small village with several other private residences. Please drive safely and refrain from disturbing the neighbors with noise. If coming from Echigo-Yuzawa Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen, transfer to a local train to Shiozawa Station, then take a taxi. It is about a seven-minute taxi ride to Kiroku. Please note that there are rarely any taxis at Shiozawa Station, so you should reserve one in advance. Feel free to ask the Concierge Desk for assistance. There is also a flat-rate taxi from Echigo-Yuzawa Station (advance reservation required).
